Innovative Refrigeration Systems, a Virginia-based OEM specializing in ammonia (R717) and CO2 (R744) industrial refrigeration systems, announced the acquisition of QuickFreeze, an Indiana-based manufacturer of blast chillers for the cold chain industry. QuickFreeze’s flagship product, QFM, provides “a dedicated, variable-speed EC fan at every rack position drives airflow straight through the pallet,” according to the company’s website.
QuickFreeze will continue to operate in Fort Wayne under the same name as a brand within Innovative and its Co-Founder and President Bob Tippmann will continue to lead the company.
