ATMO LATAM 2027 will be held in Santiago de Chile

ATMO LATAM 2027 Is Set for April 19–20 in Santiago de Chile

The event will explore the opportunities and challenges facing natural refrigerants in Latin America’s commercial and industrial HVAC&R sectors.

ATMOsphere, publisher of NaturalRefrigerants.com, has announced that ATMOsphere (ATMO) LATAM 2027 will be held in Santiago de Chile, Chile, April 19–20.

ATMO LATAM 2027 will gather key industry experts, including manufacturers, policymakers, end users and contractors, to learn about the latest market and technology trends in natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R systems, including those using CO2 (R744), hydrocarbons and ammonia (R717). The tentative program for ATMO LATAM 2027 can be seen here, and registration will open soon.

ATMO LATAM 2027 will feature case studies from end users, manufacturers and contractors. Cencosud, Nestlé and OXXO Colombia were a few of the end users that presented at ATMO LATAM 2026, which was held in Bogotá, Colombia. End users are invited to join ATMO LATAM 2027 as speakers or attendees and will be offered complimentary passes. If you are an end user and would like more information, or if you would like to suggest an end user to attend, please reach out to ATMOsphere’s Head of Events, Charlotte Darniche, at charlotte.darniche@shecco.com.

In addition to hearing from end users, the event will also touch on policy developments in the industry and region as well as the health and environmental impact of f-gas refrigerants. Training will once again be a major focus of the program as well. All sessions have live interpretation from Spanish into English.

The use of natural refrigerants in Latin America continues to tick up. ATMOsphere estimated there were 840 total sites in Latin America using transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems as of December 2025, a 23.5% increase from the 680 sites estimated in December 2024. Of the 840 total systems, 710 were supermarkets and grocery stores, up from 580 in 2024, while 130 were industrial sites, up from 100 in 2024.

The gold sponsor for the event is SCM Frigo, and the silver sponsor is Güntner. The bronze sponsors are Bitzer, Dorin, Olab and Teklab. Those interested in sponsoring the event can find more information here or by contacting ATMOsphere’s Partnership Manager Silvia Scaldaferri at silvia.scaldaferri@shecco.com.
