Compact Kältetechnik, a German refrigeration manufacturer, is set to showcase several of its CO2 (R744)-based technologies at Chillventa 2024, Annett Gregor, the company’s Head of People, Culture and Marketing, told NaturalRefrigerants.com in a recent interview.
Alongside its established product line – such as the carbo-Line CO2 Mini Booster and carbo-Box CO2 gas cooler – the company will introduce new developments, including the EJCO2 ejector and the smartR-Tool configurator for CO2 systems. Attendees will have the opportunity to test Compact Kältetechnik’s configuration tool live at its booth.
“The market launch of the enhanced ejector EJCO2 is planned for early 2025,” Gregor noted.
Compact Kältetechnik will also collaborate with its partners WURM and InfraSolutions at Chillventa to showcase its expertise in special cooling systems.
“In cooperation with WURM, we will demonstrate the efficiency of our supermarket refrigeration systems at the event,” she explained. “With InfraSolution, we will present a specialized refrigeration solution developed for CERN, the world’s largest research center for particle physics.”
The company will be spread across two adjacent booths – 550 and 650 in hall 7 – with a total exhibition space of 250m2 (2,690ft2).

Technical expertise
Chillventa attendees will also have the chance to meet Compact Kältetechnik’s leadership team, including Co-Managing Directors Lutz Hering and Robert Lauth, who recently stepped into the role following the retirement of Frank Poschmann. Gregor and Peter Szalai, Supervisor of the company’s manufacturing facility in Scharfenstein, Germany, will be at the show, too, along with a large team of project engineers who will be available to demonstrate the company’s CO2 products.
Compact Kältetechnik is also slated to participate in Chillventa’s Specialist Forum on refrigeration, hosted at booth 638 in hall 7A. Their presentation will focus on the new EJCO2 ejector technology, designed for energy-efficient subcooling in CO2 systems. The session, delivered in German, is scheduled for October 9 at 2:40 pm.
Beyond Chillventa, Gregor revealed that Compact Kältetechnik plans to expand its manufacturing facility in Scharfenstein. The facility, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, serves as the company’s main production site for its standard product line.
Chillventa, one of the leading trade shows for refrigeration technology, will take place October 8‒10 at the NürnbergMesse exhibition center in Nuremberg, Germany. According to organizers, some 30,000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s exhibition.
