Chillventa 2024: Natural Refrigerants Set to Feature Prominently at Trade Fair

The trade show will take place in Nuremberg, Germany, October 8–10, with the Chillventa CONGRESS scheduled for October 7.

Chillventa 2024, a leading international trade fair for the HVAC&R industry, is set to spotlight natural refrigerants, with several exhibitors showcasing their CO2 (R744)-, propane (R290)- and ammonia (R717)-based technologies.

A significant number of Chillventa’s expert presentations will also focus on natural refrigerants.

The biennial event will take place at the NürnbergMesse exhibition center in Nuremberg, Germany, October 8–10. The Chillventa CONGRESS is scheduled for October 7 and is set to offer participants a comprehensive insight into a range of industry issues, according to organizers.

“The outlook for Chillventa 2024 is excellent,” said Daniela Heinkel, Director Chillventa at NürnbergMesse.

Chillventa welcomed more than 840 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors in 2022. Organizers have said they expect to see similar attendance figures this year. As of the end of June, some 930 companies had booked exhibition spaces.

In the runup to Chillventa 2024, NaturalRefrigerants.com will be publishing a series of articles looking at the natural refrigerant-based technologies that will be showcased at the event.

Refrigerants take center stage

Refrigerants are one of the core topics of this year’s exhibition, alongside sustainability, energy performance and digitization. Natural refrigerants, in particular, will be extensively discussed, given their critical role in reducing the environmental impact of HVAC&R systems.

“The complex topic of refrigerants will be covered in a number of presentations,” explained the organizers. “Aspects covered will include the effects of the [EU] F-gas Regulation, the importance of PFAS, optimization of R744 and R717 systems and planning for R290 heat pumps and air-conditioning systems.”

At least 30 presentations in Chillventa’s Specialist Forums will focus on natural refrigerants, featuring insights from leading industry players, including:

Natural refrigerants are also on the agenda at the Chillventa CONGRESS, which consists of the ASERCOM and EPEE Symposium, Small Heat Pump Summit, 8th Innovation Day Refrigeration Technology and discussions on air-conditioning in data centers.
