Johnson Controls (JC) has announced the YORK YMAE-P propane (R290) reversible air-to-water heat pump, which it said is designed to help “building owners modernize heating systems and accelerate electrification without compromising performance.” The heat pump has a capacity range from 90 to 360kW (25 to 102TR) and produces hot water up to 80°C (176°F) at an ambient temperature as low as -25°C (-13°F). In cooling mode, it operates at outdoor temperatures ranging from -20 to 48°C (-4 to 118°F) and delivers water temperatures between -12 and 20°C (10 and 68°F). The YORK YMAE-P R290 is suitable for schools, offices, medical buildings, hotels and other commercial buildings.
Johnson Controls will debut the unit at Chillventa 2026, which will be held in Nuremberg from October 12 to 15.
