Carrier has launched the AquaSnap 61WH, a water-source heat pump using propane (R290) refrigerant designed to "simplify the transition from boilers to high-temperature heat pumps." The AquaSnap 61WH can produce hot water at up to 78°C (172°F) and has a modular design that enables it to provide a heating capacity of between 50 to 824kW (14.2 to 234TR). It's applications include boiler replacement projects in new buildings and retrofits.
"With AquaSnap 61WH, Carrier is helping make the transition from conventional boilers to heat pump technology simple and reassuring," said Eric Pollet, Product Manager at Carrier, in a statement.
