bluu unit Acquires Space Refrigeration

Bluu unit, an alliance of European HVAC&R contractors specializing in natural refrigerants, has acquired Space Engineering, a U.K.-based HVAC&R contractor and manufactuter of CO₂ (R744) refrigeration systems and heat pumps. The terms of the deal were not announced, but bluu unit stated that the acquisition will increase the alliance's headcount by 400 people and bring a company into the fold with an annual revenue of around £100 million pounds (€118 million/$132 million). The company added that this is its first acquisition to include manufacturing capabilities.
