01 Overview

Streamline® HP90 Copper Tube is rated for 90 bar applications and is engineered to safely handle any standstill situations in subcritical CO₂ refrigeration systems and to complement the XHP offering on the transcritical side. The HP90 Copper Tube is pure C12200 copper with extra-heavy wall thickness available in sizes ranging from 3/8” to 2-5/8” in outside diameter for 90 BAR / 1305 PSI pressure ratings at 150°C / 300°F and is intended to be joined with XHP Fittings for a 90 Bar system.

Streamline® HP90 Copper Tube is available in hard, straight-lengths and made to meet the outside dimensional specifications – as well as the chemical, mechanical, cleanliness, and eddy current testing requirements – in ASTM B280. Streamline ® HP90 is third party listed by UL for continuous pressure of 90 BAR / 1305 PSI at a max operating temperature of 121°C / 250°F.

Streamline® HP90 was developed for use with higher-pressure refrigerants, such as subcritical CO₂ system applications where stand-still pressure-handling capability is desired up to 90 BAR / 1305 PSI. Designed specifically for use with Streamline® XHP Copper-Iron Fittings and other valves and devices rated for similar or greater pressure handling capability.

Streamline® HP90 is not subject to any restrictions for the selection of brazing alloy. Commonly used brazing filler metal types such as BCup Alloy (may contain 0% – 30% Silver – Ag) or Bag Alloy (may contain anywhere between 24% and 93% Silver – Ag) can be used. The brazing alloy chosen should be clarified with the brazing alloy supplier for each specific application. The selection of brazing alloy may depend on a few factors including: applicable codes, OEM specifications, operating temperatures, joining of dissimilar metals.
