Italian HVAC&R manufacturer Enerblue has announced the launch of an extended five-year warranty exclusively for its natural refrigerant-based product portfolio, which comprises several propane (R290) and CO2 (R744) heat pump and chiller units.
Enerblue’s standard warranty covers 18 months, but customers now have the option to extend this period for a “very small fee,” Francesco Zanzo, Product Manager at Enerblue. Speaking with NaturalRefrigerants.com at the ISH 2025 trade show, Zanzo emphasized the company’s faith in its technology.
“This extended warranty is to make clear to our customers – and our customers’ customers – that we are really confident about our products,” he explained. “It is not a standard approach [for the industry]. Five years is a long period, particularly for equipment that is usually installed outdoors.”

ISH 2025 took place March 17–21 in Frankfurt.

Phasing out synthetics
Currently, Enerblue offers a wide range of heat pumps and chillers using both natural refrigerants and synthetic alternatives. However, according to Zanzo, the company is working to entirely remove synthetic refrigerants from its portfolio, a transition expected to take three-to-five years.
“The company’s target is to be sustainable,” he said. “Sustainable also means that you have to take care of the business plan.”
While synthetic refrigerants will remain a “small part” of the company’s offerings in the short term, Enerblue continues to expand its natural refrigerant product range. Among its latest innovations is the Silver range of propane chillers, introduced to the European market in 2024. By the end of 2025, Enerblue plans to launch a 850kW (242TR)-capacity air-to-water propane heat pump for commercial space heating and industrial processing applications, he noted.
Enerblue is also working to expand its range of water-to-water units, focusing on improved efficiency, broader working limits and enhanced temperature performance.
“These projects are ongoing, and we are planning to deliver them very soon,” said Zanzo. “Our portfolio next year is going to be unbelievable.”
Enerblue plans to share more information on these technologies later this year, he added.
Scaling up production
Reflecting its growing market presence, Enerblue is currently constructing a new 10,000m2 (107,639ft2) manufacturing facility near its existing 4,000m2 (43,055ft2) site in northern Italy. The new factory, expected to be operational by late 2025, will significantly increase production capacity.
“The new factory will be a booster on the production of our natural refrigerant technology,” explained Zanzo. “It will allow us to extend production by about 20–30% in the first two years.”
