The China Heat Pump Alliance (CHPA) has announced that the China Heat Pump Forum (CHPF) will be held in Jinan City, China, from July 30–31.
“The CHPF focuses entirely on heat pumps and is a unique venue for forming partnerships with key stakeholders in the global heat pump industry,” said CHPA General Secretary Hengyi “Cooper” Zhao. “It is widely recognized as the foremost event for discourse on the future of heat pumps not only for China but also for the world.”

The CHPF, which will be held at the Sheraton Jinan Hotel, is expected to attract more than 100 exhibitors and 1,500 stakeholders from around the world. In addition to the products on display, the event will also feature presentations. Jan Dusek, Co-Founder and COO of ATMOsphere, publisher of NaturalRefrigerants.com, was among the speakers at the 2024 China Heat Pump Forum.
“Chinese companies are already supplying thousands of hydrocarbon and CO2 [R744] compressors for residential heat pumps in markets such as Europe, Australia and Japan,” Dusek said at the 2024 CHPF. “The opportunity for China is to stay on the cutting edge of technological development and to accelerate the transition to natural refrigerants in the domestic market.”
At the 2024 China Heat Pump Forum, German manufacturer Wilo promoted its pump for residential propane (R290) hydronic heat pumps, while Danfoss presented its range of propane and isobutane (R600a) products. Italian compressor manufacturer Dorin exhibited its CO2 compressors.
“The Forum addresses all aspects of heat pumps, including product development, components, refrigerants, manufacturing and energy policy,” Zhao said.
China accounts for more than 25% of global heat pump sales, with heat pumps being “the norm” for space heating and cooling in buildings in some areas of central and southern China, according to a 2024 report from the International Energy Agency.
