ATMOsphere, publisher of NaturalRefrigerants.com, has issued a call for case studies on natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R technologies to be presented at the ATMOsphere (ATMO) America Summit 2025, which will be held June 11–12 in Atlanta, Georgia.
To be considered, case studies must include real-life installations using natural refrigerants, such as CO2 (R744), hydrocarbons, ammonia (R717) or water (R718). Projects should be relevant to the North American market and be co-presented with an end user or affiliated contractor. For heat pump case studies, end-user or contractor participation is preferred but not mandatory.
Submissions must be completed using the template provided and are due by March 7. More information on submission guidelines can be found here.
Submitted case studies may explore applications in heat pumps, commercial HVAC, industrial, commercial or light-commercial refrigeration or emerging technologies. They must highlight the installation’s sustainability, replicability, originality and tangibility. Preference will be given to case studies that include efficiency and cost analyses.
Each presentation will be allocated a maximum of 10–12 minutes followed by three minutes for audience questions.
Knowledge sharing
ATMO American 2025 marks the 14th edition of the summit, bringing together key industry experts, including manufacturers, contractors, end users and policymakers from around North America and beyond.
Beyond case study presentations, the two-day summit will showcase the latest developments in natural refrigerant technologies. The conference program will feature a keynote presentation, an end-user panel discussion and sessions on refrigeration and heat pump market trends. There will also be sessions covering policies and standards, the impact of HFOs and ATMOsphere’s Natural Refrigerants Label.
Attendees will benefit from multiple networking sessions and a drinks reception, which will take place on the first evening.
The Platinum sponsor of ATMO America 2025 is Hillphoenix. Gold sponsors are Kysor Warren, Copeland, M&M Carnot, and Hussmann, a U.S.-based subsidiary of Panasonic. Information on sponsorships can be found here.
Registration for ATMO America 2025 is now open. End users, government personnel, NGO employees and members of the press are eligible for free passes to the conference. HVAC&R contractors and installers can receive one complimentary ticket per organization with a 50% discount on additional passes. Confirmed session presenters will also receive a 50% discount on their tickets.
Last year’s ATMO America conference in Washington, D.C., included case study presentations on a variety of topics, including propane (R290)-based vaccine storage, a 1.5MW (426.5TR)-capacity CO2 heat pump at a Canadian university and a Delaware office building’s ammonia HVAC system. Presentations from ATMO America 2024 can be accessed here.
