Data protection declaration

We are very pleased that you have shown interest in our enterprise. Data protection is a high priority for the management of the shecco SRL. The use of the Internet pages of the shecco SRL is possible without any indication of personal data; however, if a data subject wants to use special enterprise services via our website, processing of personal data could become necessary. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no statutory basis for such processing, we generally obtain consent from the data subject.

The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, email address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with the country-specific data protection regulations applicable to shecco SRL. By means of this data protection declaration, our enterprise would like to inform the general public of the nature, scope, and purpose of the personal data we collect, use and process. Furthermore, data subjects are informed of that to which they are entitled.

As the controller, the shecco SRL has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. However, Internet-based data transmission may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to transfer personal data to us via alternative means, e.g., by telephone.

Definitions

The data protection declaration of the shecco SRL is based on the European Legislator for the Adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our data protection declaration should be legible and understandable for the general public, as well as our customers and business partners. To ensure this, we would like to first explain the terminology used.

In this data protection declaration, we use, inter alia, the following terms:

Personal data
Personal data means any information pertaining to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”). An identifiable natural person is a person who identifies, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier as a name, an identification number, a location data, an online identifier or other factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Data subject
Data subject is any identified or identifiable natural person whose personal data is processed by the controller responsible for the processing.
Processing
Processing is setting up of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection; recording; organization; structuring; storage; adaptation or alteration; retrieval; consultation; use; disclosure by transmission; dissemination or otherwise making available; alignment or combination; restriction; and erasure or destruction.
Restriction of processing
Restriction of processing is the marking of stored personal data with the aim of limiting their processing in the future.
Profiling
Profiling means any form of automated processing of personal data consisting of the use of personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person, in particular to analyse or predict aspects concerning that natural person’s performance at work, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, location or movements.
Pseudonymisation
Pseudonymisation is the processing of personal data in such a manner that the personal data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information, provided that such additional information is kept separately and is subject to technical and organisational measures to ensure that the personal data are not attributed to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Controller or controller responsible for the processing
Controller or controller responsible for the processing is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data; where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for its nomination may be provided for by Union or Member State law.

However, public authorities that may receive personal data in the framework of a particular inquiry in accordance with Union or Member State law shall not be regarded as recipients; the processing of those data by those public authorities shall be in compliance with the applicable data protection rules according to the purposes of the processing.
Third party
Third party is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data.
Consent

Cookies

Which cookies and similar technologies this website uses, what they are for, who provides them and for how long they are stored is set out in the cookie policy.

Processing on this website

The following services process personal data when you use this website:

  • Hosting and delivery — Vercel Inc. serves the site; its server logs contain IP addresses and request metadata.
  • Press-release submissions (Write for us) — the company, name, e-mail address, text and any attachment you submit are e-mailed to our editors via Resend Inc.; the submitting IP address is counted by Upstash Inc. to prevent abuse.
  • Newsletter and advertising enquiries — collected on forms hosted by Typeform S.L., under Typeform’s own privacy policy; nothing is stored on this site.
  • Content and directory data — articles, products, partners and events are read from databases hosted by Supabase Inc.; no visitor data is written there.
  • Maps and videos — map tiles are loaded from CARTO, which receives your IP address. The Google Maps view on partner profiles loads only when you choose to show it; company and news videos use the providers’ privacy-enhanced players (see the cookie policy).
  • Audience measurement — Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without storing an identifier in your browser. With your consent (cookie banner), Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) also measures visits and clicks using cookies; Google may process this data outside the EU under its data-transfer safeguards. Without consent, Google Analytics sets no cookie. You can withdraw consent any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer.
  • Newsroom staff — the back office uses Supabase Auth for staff sign-in; it is not available to visitors.

Personal data is processed to provide the website and answer your requests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f)), or with your consent where you give it (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Rights of the data subject

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data, and access to it (Art. 15);
  • have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16) and, where the conditions are met, erased (Art. 17);
  • restrict processing (Art. 18) and receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21);
  • not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (Art. 22);
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing (Art. 7(3)).

To exercise these rights, write to info@naturalrefrigerants.com or to the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected — for example to handle a submission or answer your message — or for as long as the law requires. It is then deleted.
