ATMOsphere, publisher of NaturalRefrigerants.com, has announced the finalized program for the ATMOsphere (ATMO) LATAM Summit 2025, which will include sessions exploring refrigeration case studies, market and technology trends, policy developments and the role of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in the HVAC&R sector.
The two-day conference, which will be held February 19–20 at the Barceló México Reforma in Mexico City, will feature two keynote presentations: industrial food processing by Grupo Bimbo and logistics and distribution by Frialsa. The program also includes panel discussions with end users, contractors and policymakers, and a session on ATMOsphere’s Natural Refrigerant Label – a certification program that recognizes top-tier manufacturers and contractors who excel in delivering natural refrigerant systems and components.
All sessions will be bilingual, with simultaneous English and Spanish interpretation provided.
The summit will offer a unique opportunity for participants to connect with regional and international experts and thought leaders, with multiple networking sessions scheduled and a drinks reception, which will take place on the first evening.

This will be the second in-person edition of ATMO LATAM. The first was held in November 2023, also in Mexico City. An online version of the summit was held in 2020 as part of the virtual ATMO America conference.

Regional case studies
The summit will showcase an array of refrigeration case studies from industry leaders, highlighting the versatility and impact of natural refrigerants like CO2 (R744), propane (R290) and ammonia (R717). Featured presenters include:
- CO2: Advansor, Güntner and RCF Refrigeración (joint presentation); Modine; Weston/TEKO and Dorin (joint presentation); and Sistemas de Refrigeración Totales (SRT).
- Propane: FB Industrial.
- CO2-propane: INTARCON, Grupo Bimbo and Construambientales (joint presentation) and Copeland.
- Ammonia: Clauger de México.
Presentations will span diverse applications, including meat processing, agricultural production and heat pumps for the hospitality sector.
Industry insights
ATMOsphere will set the stage on Day One with sessions exploring global market and policy trends and the impact of HFOs on our health and the environment. The following day, manufacturers FB Industrial and Copeland will dive into regional market and technology developments, offering a comprehensive overview of the industry’s trajectory in Latin America.
Attendees will then receive firsthand experiences from end users, who will discuss the challenges, solutions and benefits of adopting natural refrigerant-based technologies in the regional context. The end user panel will include Marine Farm, a Chilean aquaculturist; Casa Ley, a Mexican grocery retailer; and OXXO, a Mexican convenience store chain.
Policy discussions will feature representatives from the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) – who will discuss regulatory issues and standards in the LATAM region more broadly and in Ecuador specifically – Mexico’s Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and Trinidad and Tobago’s Ministry of Planning and Development.
The contractors panel, with representatives from Sistemas de Refrigeración Totales (SRT), Refrigeración y Soluciones de Frío, SUTRAK and Dicoma Refrigeración, will cover the real-world implementation of natural refrigerant systems.
