01 Panoramica

With zero ozone depletion potential and low global warming impact, it’s the ideal choice for an environmentally conscious and cost effective CO₂ Distributed System Design or new supermarkets, complete equipment upgrades, store expansions/remodels, new refrigerated merchandising programs. Engineered to operate efficiently in ambient temperatures up to 43°C, it combines a hermetic, inverter-driven compressor with scroll and rotary mechanisms for optimized energy efficiency. The Optyma™ iCO2 features a gas cooler with copper fin and tube technology, plus a DC fan with speed regulation, ensuring reliable performance in varying environmental conditions. Easy to maintain, it comes with quick access service valves, a liquid bypass valve, and an oil separator. With low noise levels and factory testing for compliance with PED/EU regulations, it delivers long-lasting, efficient performance. This robust unit supports multiple evaporators, offering scalable solutions for both low- and medium-temperature applications.

The Optyma™ iCO2 condensing unit (CDU) is designed for refrigeration systems using R744 (CO₂), a refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and minimal global warming potential.
This unit is built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, with a maximum ambient temperature of 43°C. It combines a hermetic two-stage inverter compressor with both scroll and rotary compression mechanisms to deliver high efficiency across various applications.

The Optyma™ iCO2 unit is equipped with advanced features such as an integrated gas cooler, fin and tube design, and a DC fan assembly with speed regulation, enabling reliable operation even under varying ambient conditions. It’s designed for easy installation and servicing with quick access to components, service valves, and sight glass for maintenance. A factory-assembled crankcase heater and an oil separator ensure smooth operation even at low ambient temperatures.

This condensing unit is suitable for low, medium, and high-temperature refrigeration applications, supporting up to 8 evaporators with individual solenoid valve control for optimal performance. Its advanced capacity control via inverter technology allows for precise adjustments based on demand, improving energy efficiency. The capacity range is 1.5 kW to 4.6 kW for medium-temperature applications (MBP) and up to 10 kW for low-temperature applications (LBP).

Factory-tested for compliance with PED/EU regulations, the Optyma™ iCO2 unit is available in various configurations to meet specific needs, such as different refrigerant types or temperature ranges. It is designed for a long operational life, with components like the compressor and gas cooler built to last. For added convenience, it is compatible with the Danfoss System Manager for enhanced control and monitoring.

The Optyma™ iCO2 unit is a reliable, energy-efficient solution for CO₂-based refrigeration systems in diverse environments, with certifications including CE and UKCA approvals, and a sound pressure level as low as 42 dBA at 10 meters.
