Wolrdwide demand for building cooling will triple by 2050, potentially pushing emissions to 6.1 billion tons of CO₂ equivalent (Global Cooling Watch, UNEP, 2023). To prevent this, we need to scale up sustainable cooling and heating solutions and apply passive building measures.
Join the virtual Summit where the German Environment Agency (UBA) and GIZ Proklima, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), will lead the conversation.
The event will discuss how natural refrigerant-based solutions protect the environment, support climate targets, and improve lives. It’ll also highlight successful examples that prove these technologies are available, competitive, and built for the future.
