ATMOsphere, publisher of NaturalRefrigerants.com, will host an online event Tuesday, May 26 at 2 pm CEST summarizing the key findings from its “Refrigeration: Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration with Natural Refrigerants” report.

The event will be held on Zoom, and those interested in attending can register using this form. It will be hosted by Michael Hines, Managing Editor of NaturalRefrigerants.com and the lead author of the report. The report can be downloaded for free here.

ATMOsphere’s 2025 industry report focuses on natural refrigerants in commercial and industrial refrigeration in Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. In the commercial sector, data were collected on the number of stores using transcritical CO2 (R744) racks and condensing units and the number of installed self-contained hydrocarbon (mostly propane/R290) cabinets. For industrial refrigeration, data were gathered on the quantity of industrial sites using low-charge ammonia (R717) and transcritical CO2 systems.

Along with established markets, like Europe, North America and Japan, the 2025 report contains data on emerging markets for refrigeration with natural refrigerants, including South Africa, China, South Korea and Southeast Asia. Data were also gathered for Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, three regions which were also covered in the 2024 edition of the report. In addition to installation data, “Refrigeration: Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration with Natural Refrigerants” also covers regulatory developments related to f-gases, PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA).
