Editorial standards and corrections

How we report, how we keep journalism separate from commercial content, and how we fix mistakes.

Esta página aún no está disponible en español: se muestra el original en inglés.Leer el original

What we cover

NaturalRefrigerants.com reports on CO₂ (R744), ammonia (R717), hydrocarbons (R290, R600a and others) and water-based cooling and heating worldwide: policy, technology, markets and the companies building them. It is published by shecco SRL as part of the ATMOsphere network.

Independence

Editorial decisions — what we cover, how, and when — are made by the editorial team. Partners, advertisers and event sponsors do not approve, edit or receive our articles before publication.

Partners and advertising

NaturalRefrigerants.com is funded in part by partner tiers, advertising and the marketplace. Commercial content is always labelled: partner profiles, sponsored placements and product listings are marked as such and are kept apart from news articles. A partner tier does not buy coverage. Press releases we receive are treated as tips and are rewritten and checked before anything is published. See Advertise for how partnerships work.

Accuracy and sourcing

We name our sources wherever possible, link to primary documents (regulations, studies, company filings) and attribute figures to whoever produced them. Claims made by companies about their own products are reported as their claims. Every article carries its author and its publication date; when an article is substantively updated, the update date is shown.

Articles, Briefs and translations

Articles are reported pieces written by our journalists. Briefs are short news items, often from trade shows and announcements, edited by the newsroom. Our translated editions (Español, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, 日本語, 简体中文) are machine-translated with DeepL from the English original, which is the reference version; every translated page links to it.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly. Factual corrections are made in the article and noted at the end of it with the date and what was changed. Minor fixes (typos, formatting) are made without a note. We do not remove articles because a company or person dislikes the coverage; we do correct errors of fact.

To report an error, email info@naturalrefrigerants.com with the article link and what you believe is wrong. We reply to every correction request.
