ATMOsphere, publisher of NaturalRefrigerants.com, has announced that registration is now open for ATMO MAC Summit 2024 × TU Berlin, which will be held in Berlin from September 12–13.

ATMO MAC Summit 2024 × TU Berlin is ATMOsphere’s first event to focus exclusively on air-conditioning and heat pump systems for mobile applications. It is hosted in partnership with Technische Universität Berlin’s (TU Berlin) Department of Heat Transfer and Conversion and will take place on TU Berlin’s campus.

The two-day program will center on mobile air-conditioning and heat pump systems that use the natural refrigerants CO2 (R744) and propane (R290). It will feature presentations from OEMs, technology case studies, discussions of recent European Union policy developments and more.

“There are already commercial applications available today for cars, buses, trucks and trains using either CO2 or propane,” Marc Chasserot, CEO and Co-Founder of ATMOsphere, told NaturalRefrigerants.com. “To accelerate and scale up the adoption of these solutions, we have created the annual ATMO MAC Summit in partnership with Technische Universität Berlin, which has vast knowledge in this space.”

In addition to OEMs from the automotive, transport and railway sectors, attendees will also include suppliers, policymakers and R&D experts. Registration for the event is now open, and preliminary information about the program can be found on the event website. An early bird discount of €150 ($160) is available until May 23. OEMs, academics, members of government and the media can attend the summit for free.

Germany-based Konvekta, a MAC manufacturer that has developed a CO2 heat pump for buses, is the Silver sponsor of ATMO MAC Summit 2024 × TU Berlin. Creative Thermal Solutions, GTS and Dorin are Bronze sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event, and companies and organizations interested in learning more can contact Silvia Scaldaferri, Partnership Manager at ATMOsphere, at silvia.scaldaferri@shecco.com.

ATMOsphere will issue a call for case studies in the coming weeks.
