01 概要

Itomic promotes the technical development of the commercial-use CO₂ Heat Pump, which has excellent energy-savings and environmental performance. The heat pump technology is used to boil water with about 1/4 of the electric energy of conventional electric water heaters. This product is available for the Japanese market.

ITOMIC CO₂ HEAT PUMP from Nihon Itomic Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President: Hirofumi Moriya) and its subsidiary Itomic Kankyo System Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto Japan; President: Kazuya Kiyotoki) announced that Itomic will launch a new product for the Japanese market, the CHP-15H2 (15kW), on October 1st, 2022.

It’s possible to build a clean hot water supply environment by changing from an existing gas or heavy oil combustion boiler to a CO₂ Heat Pump. The Itomic Commercial Heat Pump is a water heater heat pump using natural refrigerant CO₂ in consideration of environmental factors and reduced running costs.

Furthermore, the CO₂ heat pump water heaters that use natural refrigerant (CO₂) have a GWP (global warming potential) of 1/2,000 and an ODP (ozone depletion potential) of 0 compared to CFC refrigerant (R410A), protecting the global environment. For this reason, demand is increasing not only in Japan, but also all over the world.
