ATMO Europe 2024

Call for Natural Refrigerant Case Studies for ATMO Europe 2024 in Prague in November

The deadline for submissions from manufacturers, contractors and end users is June 28.

ATMOsphere, publisher of NaturalRefrigerants.com, has issued a call for case studies on natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R technologies to be presented at the ATMOsphere (ATMO) Europe Summit 2024, which will take place in Prague on November 25–26.

To be considered, case studies must include real-life natural refrigerant applications, be relevant to the European market and be co-presented with an end user or affiliated contractor. While preferred, the involvement of an end user or contractor is not mandatory for heat pump presentations.

Case studies must be submitted by June 28 using the template provided. Details on how to submit a case study can be found here.

Submissions must include reference to the application’s sustainability, replicability, originality and tangibility, and preference will be given to case studies that include efficiency and cost analyses. Case studies could examine commercial, industrial or transport refrigeration, heat pumps, mobile or stationary air-conditioning or new areas of application.

Each presentation will be allocated a maximum of 12 minutes followed by three minutes for audience questions.

A gathering of industry experts

This year’s summit will be the 14th edition of ATMO Europe and will gather experts from across the industry, including manufacturers, contractors, end users and policymakers from around Europe and beyond.

In addition to case study presentations, the two-day summit will focus on highlighting the latest developments in natural refrigerant technologies, including those using CO2 (R744), propane (R290), isobutane (R600a), ammonia (R717) and water (R718). The conference program features panel discussions on policy, end-user experiences and training. There will also be market trend discussions as well as keynote presentations.

The Gold sponsors of ATMO Europe 2024 are TEKO and Zudek. Information on sponsorships can be found here.

Registration for the ATMO Europe 2024 Summit is now open. End users, government personnel, employees of non-governmental organizations and members of the press are eligible for free passes to the conference. HVAC&R contractors and installers can receive one free ticket per organization with a 50% discount on additional passes.

Once confirmed, session presenters will receive a 50% discount on their tickets.

Last year’s ATMO Europe conference was held in Brussels. It included case study presentations on a transcritical CO2-based cold storage facility in Italy, an ammonia heat pump producing 120°C (248°F) steam for an animal feed production facility in Norway and propane-based air-conditioning in Deutsche Bahn trains.
