ATMO America 2024

Call for Case Studies on Natural Refrigerants for ATMO America 2024 in D.C. in June

Deadline for submissions is March 1.

ATMOsphere, publisher of R744.com, has issued a call for case studies from manufacturers of natural refrigerant technologies to be presented at the ATMOsphere (ATMO) America Summit 2024, which will be held Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11, in Washington, D.C.

To be considered, presentations must be relevant to the North American market, refer to a real-life natural refrigerant-based installation and include an end user or affiliated contractor preferably on site during the presentation. For heat pumps case studies, an end-user/contractor reference is preferred but not required.

Case studies can be submitted here. The deadline for submissions is March 1.

This 13th annual edition of ATMO America will gather key industry experts, including manufacturers, policy makers, end users and contractors, to learn about the latest developments in natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R systems, including those using CO2, (R744), hydrocarbons (such as propane/R290 and isobutane/R600a) and ammonia (R717). Last year’s ATMO America conference was also held in Washington D.C.

You can now register for the event here and find the preliminary program and other information on the event website.  End users can register for free, and contractors/installers of HVAC&R systems are eligible to receive one free ticket per organization, with a 50% discount on additional tickets. An early bird discount  (US$180 savings on a standard pass) is available.

Submitted case studies should relate to one of the following applications of natural refrigerants:

  • Commercial & light commercial refrigeration
  • Industrial refrigeration
  • Heat pumps
  • Air conditioning (mobile & stationary)
  • Ice rinks
  • Transport refrigeration
  • Other areas of application

Case studies should address the efficiency of systems and include a cost analysis, including cost of energy, operations, planning installation and life cycle.

Each technology case study will be allotted a maximum of 10-12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions from the audience. Changes are possible depending on the session.

Confirmed speakers will receive a 50% discount on their admission ticket.

In addition to case study presentations, the program will also feature a keynote presentation; end users’ experiences with natural refrigerants; policy and standards updates, including the latest from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); a discussion on the impact of PFAS refrigerants on health and safety; and market and technology trends.
