Advansor to Showcase New CO2 HVAC&R System at Chillventa 2022

The Danish OEM will be among many manufacturers presenting their latest CO2-based products at Chillventa in Germany October 11–13.

Danish OEM Advansor will be among the many manufacturers showcasing their latest CO2 (R744)-based technologies at Chillventa 2022 in Nuremberg, Germany, October 11–13.

As part of its exhibition – at stand 548 in hall 9 of the NürnbergMesse exhibition center – Advansor will be presenting several of its CO2 products, including the new CuBig II, an all-in-one HVAC&R unit that provides refrigeration, air-conditioning and heating; it is designed for larger commercial and industrial applications.

Offering up to 450kW (128TR) in cooling capacity, the CuBig II combines the “flexibility [of] smaller racks with copper piping and the strength [of] larger racks with high-capacity compressors,” explained the manufacturer. The unit also includes the latest energy optimization technologies.

“The CuBig II retains the flexibility [of] smaller racks with copper piping and the strength [of] larger racks with high-capacity compressors.”

Advansor will be showcasing its 1.5MW (426.5TR)-capacity industrial CO2 heat pump, which is suitable for a variety of applications, including district heating, production facilities and hospitals. According to the manufacturer, the heat pump is “packed with the latest technology for the best energy efficiency.”

“We are putting a lot of development efforts into further improving the efficiency of both our smaller and large-scale units,” said Kenneth Bank Madsen, Technical Director at Advansor. “We have implemented advanced energy saving technologies like Ultra-Low Superheat, COP Hunter and Liquid Power Cooler, and we are looking at energy savings up to 60%.”

Advansor’s stand will also feature its updated ValuePack II, the MiniBooster, the new Ultra-Low Superheat Module and an Emergency Cooling Unit.

On Tuesday, October 11 at 4:20 pm at booth 401 in hall 4A, Advansor’s CEO, Kristian Breitenbauch, will be giving a 20-minute presentation about the importance of all-in-one, CO2-based systems for energy efficiency and decarbonization.

CO2 compressors at Chillventa

German compressor manufacturer Bock will also be at Chillventa, presenting its range of CO2 compressors, which now includes higher-capacity models for industrial refrigeration and heat pumps. Bock’s products will be on display at its stand (#405) in hall 7.

Dorin, an Italian manufacturer of compressors, will be introducing its new CD PRO and CD PRO+ CO2-based compressors at Chillventa – booth 316 in hall 6. With these new products, Dorin has said it is “taking innovation to the next level, further raising the bar in energy efficiency with new groundbreaking technologies.” According to the company, the CD PRO and CD PRO+ will boost COP by 7% and 15%, respectively, compared to “existing platforms.”

Other COshowcases

Intarcon, a Spanish manufacturer of natural refrigerant-based commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment, will be presenting its latest products at its stand (#220) in hall 7 of the Chillventa exhibition. In addition to numerous propane (R290) and ammonia/NH3 (R717) chillers, evaporators and refrigeration units, Intarcon will be showcasing its transcritical CO2 condensing units with built-in gas cooler and parallel compression.

Manufacturer Danfoss will also be at Chillventa – booth 251 in hall 7 – where it will be presenting its recently launched thermostatic expansion valve for COrefrigeration systems. According to the company, its TE2 expansion valve is suitable for small- to medium-sized remote refrigeration systems and is the first such product on the market.

Carrier Commercial Refrigeration (CCR), part of Carrier Global Corporation, will be showcasing its new PowerCO2OL S system at its stand (#312) in hall 7A at Chillventa. The recently launched system is a compact version of its PowerCO2OL product and is suited for cold storage applications, said the manufacturer.

CCR will also be taking the opportunity of Chillventa to share more information about its new Energy Optimization Program, which aims to help customers reduce their energy costs in the face of Europe’s current energy crisis. According to the company, the program and its ready-to-install products, like its MiniCO2OL Compact, can help reduce its customers’ energy usage by up to 40%.

“We understand the uncertainty our customers are experiencing with the unprecedented spike in energy prices, and we are partnering with them to help reduce energy costs while continuing to maximize merchandising opportunities,” said David Appel, President of CCR. “We have a strong portfolio of energy-efficient products that can make a real difference for our customers to reduce their energy cost exposure now and prepare for an unpredictable 2023. These solutions may ultimately be the difference between a store remaining open or shuttering its doors.”
